With the busy schedule, International Students tend to have, it’s pretty easy for you to forget about checking the upcoming holidays. And quite often, you only hear about them once they are a week away, and there’s not much you can do with such short notice when it comes to gateways or going out of the country. That’s why we have prepared for you the list of all official upcoming Holidays in Vancouver 2022. Check it out!


Upcoming Statutory Holidays in British Columbia

Family Day: Monday, February 21, 2022

Good Friday: Friday, April 15, 2022

Victoria Day: Monday, May 23, 2022

Canada Day: Friday, July 1, 2022

B.C. Day: Monday, August 1, 2022

Labour Day: Monday, September 5, 2022

Thanksgiving Day: Monday, October 10, 2022

Remembrance Day: Friday, November 11, 2022

Christmas Day: Sunday, December 25, 2022


All these holidays are mandatory in Vancouver, meaning that not only you should get paid regardless if you work or not that day but also that if your employer is asking you to work on any of those days, you are entitled to get paid x1.5 (time and a half) of what you usually get paid 😎 something for you to take into consideration.
